MotionGenesis™ Windows Download

  1. Download the installer via the MG for Windows button.
  2. Run the installer (.exe) to create a MotionGenesis folder.
  3. Move the MotionGenesis folder to a convenient file location (e.g., Desktop or User folder).
  4. In the MotionGenesis folder, open MotionGenesisStartHere.
  5. If purchased, follow the on-screen instructions to request a license. We typically email your MGLicense.txt file within 1 business day. Download that file to your MotionGenesis folder.
  6. Do the two-minute Get-started exercises.

MotionGenesis™ Macintosh Download

  1. If you already have a MotionGenesis folder, rename it to MotionGenesisOld to avoid overwriting your old files in your MotionGenesis folder (and its subfolders).
  2. Download and open the zip installer.
  3. Drag/move the MotionGenesis folder to the Applications folder.
  4. Open the MotionGenesis folder.
    • Double-click on MotionGenesisStartHere to start in demo mode.
    • Or try Cmd-click on MotionGenesisStartHere.
    • Or try Right-click on MotionGenesisStartHere and select Open.
    • Gatekeeper issue with "damaged file" or "cannot open" message?
  5. If purchased, follow the on-screen instructions to request a license.
    We typically email your MGLicense.txt file within 1 business day.
    Download that file to your MotionGenesis folder.
  6. Do the two-minute Get-started exercises.

We recommend the software be installed on a computer and account with restricted privileges as all users who access the software may have privileges at least equal to the account under which the software is installed. All users who access the software must have read/write privileges for the file MGLicense.txt.
